King David set the greatest precedence when he and his mighty men defeated their enemies, taking back all that was stolen from them and more. David then divided the spoils between those who fought and those who stayed behind and guarded the supplies. This teaches us that there is always a bigger picture than most see. Some people shoot the arrows and advance the front lines, while others guard the supplies and supply the arrows. You may not be able to be on the front lines.
